Mostly, we’ll shoot on weekends, with some weeknight evenings, as needed.

 

SYNOPSIS

When Olivia and Ben return from dinner, they are greeted by many party guests, a surprise birthday party Ben has arranged for Olivia. She is horrified and runs into her room. She tells Ben about a spooky surprise party from when she was ten years old. The guest of honor killed himself after that party. Now, she is afraid that someone is going to die after this party.

 

CHARACTER BIOS

OLIVIA, Female, early-30’s {PRE-CAST}

Olivia, Ben’s emotional wife, is sensitive to the supernatural. When Ben throws her a surprise birthday party, she is horrified of what might happen.

 

BEN, Male, mid-30’s

Ben is Olivia’s reasonable husband. He wants to surprise her for her birthday, but her reaction throws their relationship into uncharted territory.

 

TEN-YEAR-OLD OLIVIA, Female, 10

Ten-year-old Olivia doesn’t want to be at the party her parents throw for Doug. As she watches Doug, she realizes that something is not right.

 

 

DOUG FRAISER, Male, 40’s

Mark’s friend, Doug, feels out-of-place at his own surprise birthday party.

 

MARK, 40’s {PRE-CAST}

Mark, Olivia’s Father, is excited to throw a surprise birthday party to honor his friend Doug.

 

DEBBIE, 40’s

Debbie, Olivia’s Mother, is very protective of their daughter, even during Doug’s party.

 

            EXTRAS

This script calls for many party guests at two separate parties, one in present-day Colorado and one in the year 2000. If you are interested in playing the role of a party guest, be sure to let us know via email.

 

Submission Instructions:

Submit your current head shot and resume, or send us a recent photo and a brief introduction. Be prepared to deliver a one-minute dramatic monologue over Zoom. We may ask you to read from the script during call backs (if needed).

 

We are a safe set. We take precautions to limit the spread of COVID-19. We also do not tolerate harassment. Parents or guardians of kids twelve and under are expected to be on location. We strive to create an encouraging experience for everyone involved.
